Context

As a Product Manager in a Design and Consultancy Agency, I managed the conception & delivery of a B2B construction accounting software design & usability improvement over 6 months. Our client was Eque2, a leading provider of business management/ERP software in the construction, contracting and house-building industry.

Our objectives

We reviewed & redesigned 2 of Eque2 main software:

Construct Cloud

  • Primary Objective: Enhance user experience (UX) and improve user interface (UI) of the platform.

  • Sub-objectives:

    • Identify and address user pain points within the current user flows.

    • Optimize user journeys through meticulous feature enhancements.

    • Make the platform more intuitive and user-friendly.

EVision

  • Primary Objective: Facilitate a smooth transition for users migrating from Housebuilding to EVision.

  • Sub-objectives:

    • Identify key Housebuilding functionalities and optimize workflows within EVision.

    • Alleviate user pain points and ensure an elevated user experience for both existing and migrating users.

    • Maintain user familiarity by optimizing UX within the Dynamics Business Central interface.

    • Streamline workflows to support successful user migration to the cloud-based platform.

Our process for Construct Cloud

  1. Discovery Workshop: Collaborate with Eque2 to understand business requirements.

  2. UX Research: Utilize Jobs-to-be-Done framework to understand user behavior and pain points through interviews and observations (user functional, emotional & social motivation)

  3. UI & UX Improvement: Identify and address user pain points to enhance user experience and interface.

  4. Iterative Design: Conduct regular feedback loops and usability studies throughout the design process.

  5. Shared Product Sprint: Synchronise Eque2 Dev teams with our sprint schedule & rituals to foster greater agile & scrum collaboration, ensuring great design>testing>dev loop cycles

  6. OKRs: Improvements over 6 months leading to +12 points NPS score

Our process for EVision

  1. Discovery Workshop: Collaborate with Eque2 to understand business requirements and user needs.

    1. Theme finding (Growth, Retention, Manage, multi-device..)

    2. SWOT analyses of the Migration (Threat, Opportunities, Weaknesses, Strenghts)

  2. UX Research: Utilize Jobs-to-be-Done framework to identify key Housebuilding functionalities and user pain points (user functional, emotional & social motivation)

  3. Workflow Optimization: Optimize workflows for migrating Housebuilding users to EVision.

  4. UX Improvement: Focus on improving user experience for both existing and migrating users.

  5. Prototyping: Validate and refine design decisions through user feedback.

  6. Hand-over: Design assets were handed over to Devs for a later design implementation, to leave them time to build the new cloud-based back-end

BLINDS2GO - UK LEADING BLINDS MARKETPLACE - 2023

Increase business growth with targeted and measured e-commerce CRO experiments.

Screenshot 2023-12-17 at 18.09.27.png

Context

As a Product Manager in a Design and Consultancy Agency, I managed the delivery of a B2C e-commerce marketplace CRO Experiments over 6 months. Our Blinds2Go client is an industry-leading online retailer for blinds, curtains and cushions in the UK.

Our objectives

We reviewed the marketplace and came-up with business-led design opportunities. Our goals were:

  • Increase website conversion rate & engagement

  • Increase returning visitors

  • Ensure mandatory European Accessibility rules are followed

  • Support the migration to a new app-based platform

Our process

  1. Usability review: Ran a UX & usability review, with Baymard, Funnel and Heuristic evaluations, part of the CRO methodology

  2. Atomic based research: With this data, we looked for new business growth opportunities via UX, UI & accessibility fixes/add-ons/enhancements throughout the existing product, comparing it to the competitors' platforms, industry best-practice (Jacob Nielsens heuristics) & regulations (ADA, EAA, WCAG) - building 41 'nuggets' of self-contained experiments

  3. Opportunities Backlog creation: We built a data-driven backlog of small to large experiments

  4. Deliver new design proposal: With the client Product Manager, we reviewed, selected & ranked 5 experiments. We delivered them within 2 months.

  5. Implement experiments: These experiments got implemented with 30+ events IDs tracking, watched live by our team via Freshrelevance to measure the experiment's efficiency and MCS (Minimum Criteria of Success) reach.

  6. OKRs: +1.8% measured conversion rate
